The role of the Communications Team is to keep members of the congregation up-to-date on the events and activities at Good Shepherd. We prepare and coordinate publishing of the weekly bulletin and Shepherd's Staff monthly newsletter. We also maintain the church website and are responsible for on-site communications such as outdoor signs, indoor bulletin boards, and any other postings at Good Shepherd.
Weekly Bulletin
The weekly bulletin is handed out at worship services each week to update the congregation on various happenings around the Church and in our global community. The bulletin allows various church groups, organizations and leadership to update congregation members on current activities, what's coming up, and what to look for in the future.
Any person or group involved in the Church is welcome to submit an article for consideration. Articles are then approved and/or edited for content by the church staff before being included in the bulletin.
The weekly bulletin can also be emailed to members if they are unable to get it at one of the weekly worship services.
Shepherd's Staff Newsletter
The Shepherd's Staff is GSLC's monthly newsletter publication that is composed of articles written by various members throughout the congregation.
Articles for the Shepherd's Staff must be submitted in writing or via email to the church office by the 10th of the month to be considered for inclusion in the current month's newsletter. Articles are then approved and/or edited for content by the church staff before being included in the newsletter. The newsletter is mailed to recipients around the 23rd of every month or can be emailed in lieu of receiving a printed copy.
Website/Computer Communications
The Web/Computer Team is responsible for maintaining and expanding the church website along with our internal computer network. We are a group of techno-savvy and not-so-techno-savvy people who meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to review website and computer related issues/needs.
Our goal for web/computer communications is to give people a place to interactively connect with Good Shepherd, so any suggestions as to how we can improve the GSLC website or emailing of church information that can better meet your needs are welcomed. CCGSLC
Computer Communications @ Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (CCGSLC) is designed to provide congregation members the most up-to-date information available about what's happening at Good Shepherd. It is an email of weekly bulletin information, the Shepherd's Staff, our Passionate Spirituality message and any new information that comes up throughout the week.
If you would like to sign up for this service, please print off the CCGSLC Sign-up Form and drop it in the church office mailbox.
On-site Communications
On-site communications includes any form of communication in or around our physical building. The on-site communication team ensures that anything posted inside the church building or outside meets established guidelines. We are also responsible for updating and maintaining the congregational Church Directory.
