Stephen Ministry - God's love in action

Our Stephen Ministry is made up of lay people who are equipped to provide Christian care to individuals in the congregation and also in the community, who are having difficulties in their lives.

Our pastors are always on the front lines of care, especially in crisis times. Our Stephen Ministers multiply ministry by extending ongoing, one-to-one care for both members and non-members in need. People's circumstances are kept private.

A Stephen Minister is ...

• A child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting
• A congregation member with a gift for care giving, who was carefully selected to serve in this role
• A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional & spiritual care
• A caring Christian friend who listens, prays, supports, and is encouraging
• Someone who will be there, faithfully meeting with those who need for about an hour each week, as long as needed

Stephen Ministry Leaders ...Are trained leaders in our congregation who oversee and direct our Stephen Ministry.

~We all experience challenges in life, times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to help when crises or difficulties strike such as ...

-Loss of a loved one              -Hospitalization        -Divorce or separation          -Aging
