Instrumental Music

Tone Chime Choir

  • All skill levels welcome - no experience necessary
  • Rehearsals are three Mondays per month at 9:00 am
  • Participate in worship once per month at various services
  • A new group is formed each month from a pool of players

Instrumental Ensembles

  • 7th Grade and up welcome to participate
  • Short term commitment of 3-4 weeks
  • All instruments welcome (string players must be able to turn their own instruments)
  • Rehearsals are arranged as needed and publicized in weekly announcements or you may sign-up at any time & be notified when new groups form

Worship Instrumentalists

  • Intermediate to advanced level players needed to enhance the worship experience - usually at 8:00 and 9:30 am Sunday Services & some 5:30 pm Saturday Services - often on Festival/Special Occasions
  • Rehearsals are scheduled at the convenience of you and the assigned pianist/organist
  • All instruments are welcome
  • You would be asked to play along on hymn introductions, melodies, harmonies, descants, etc... during any one of the worship services      (11:00 would be part of the contemporary worship team ministry)

Contemporary Worship Team Instrumentalists

  • 9th grade and up welcome - intermediate to advanced level preferred
  • Rehearsal times are Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 9 am or Sunday at 9 am
  • Rehearsals usually last 1 1/2 - 2 hours with music available the week before
  • Currently there is a high need for guitars (acoustic & electric and bass) and C instruments
  • You are assigned to a specific team that plays once per month on a rotating basis
  • Team Leaders are Jamie De Geer, Marcus De Geer, Phil Gomez and Dianne Unverfehrt

Instrumental Soloists

  • Middle School age and up welcome to play piano solos
  • High School age and up welcome for all other instrumental solos (great place to practice your piece for solo contest ... accompanists available to assist you)
  • Soloists are welcome to provide special music at any of the worship services during the prelude, postlude, or offering times at any service or as special music when there is an opening

Accompanist

  • Advanced level pianist or organist needed to occasionally fill in for the regular service musicians dur to vacations or illnesses or to accompany occasional vocal/instrumental soloists and small groups
  • Rehearsals are arranged according to your schedule
