Diaconal Minister
Main Duties:
I walk the line between church and world bringing the needs of the world to the attention of the church via the Service Ministry Team, and bringing the ministry of the church to address those needs.I help match individuals with ministry opportunities both within Good Shepherd and the community, based on their Spiritual Gifts, talents, and God-inspired interests.I work with Good Shepherd's pastors to provide pastoral care.

I am blessed to be a mother of three children. My oldest daughter, Tara Schneider, is in college at Truman. My second daughter, Kasey Schneider, is in high school and my youngest, Julie Schneider, is in middle school. My husband, Charlie, is a Sgt. in the Manchester Police Dept. Our family is rounded out by one pure-bred mutt dog (Maggie) and a cat (Midnight).
Where were you raised (if St. Louis, what part):
Waynesville, MO (near Fort Leonard Wood). I grew up on a farm and my family still farms.
Hobbies and "extracurricular" activities:
Power walking and spending time with my husband, children, friends and family.
What aspect of your job do you find most satisfying:
People!! I love working with the children of God by whatever work God provides for me each day. It is an added benefit to have such a wonderful staff to work with; we all work hard and have great fun amidst the work.
What career path led you to your current position with GSLC:
I started working for Good Shepherd in June of '97 and started taking Seminary courses in January of '98 at the Lutheran School of Theology in St. Louis, which is affiliated with the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. I finished in May of 2003 with a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Eden Seminary. In February of 2004 I was called by Good Shepherd as a Diaconal Minister (Word and Service) and installed March 23, 2004.
