Kenya 08 is the March featured library selection.  This pictorial essay portrays all aspects of the July 2008 Good Shepherd Church Mission trip to Kali, Kenya: all the  myriad of  tasks involved in building the dining hall at the Suvia Children's Home, evening reflection and worship time,  men and women's living quarters,  school and home visits in the Kali community,  church services attended, sightseeing in the area, and the safari taken at the end of mission trip.  This book is a wonderful compilation of photos representing the mission trip.  It provides memories for those who went on the mission trip and gives an excellent look into the trip for those who supported the mission trip through their prayers.  Thanks to the people who worked to compile this book:  Dianne Unverfehrt, Karen Paul, and Beckie Fingland.  They accomplised their mission of, "capturing the highlights of the trip, the work that was done, the people of the area, and most importantly, the relationships that were built."  The book helps show how mission trips are humbling and learning experiences for those who participate, how they learn more than they teach, how they receive more love than they give, and how they are served more than they serve.
