Bible Study Small Groups
In addition, there are several Small Groups that meet for the study of bible concepts/series. Click here for more information on these small groups.
Chronologically Gifted (CG's)
The Chronologically Gifted (CG's) group at Good Shepherd is a small group made up of Seniors 55 and further blessed. They plan monthly outings for their group to visit local historic sites, restaurants, tourist attractions and more. Anyone blessed with 55 or more years is welcome to participate in this lively group.
Croppin' Christians
This scrapbooking club gives busy women and teens an opportunity to meet, share ideas and work creatively on their paper crafts. Scrapbookers, stampers, card-makers and paper crafters of all kinds are welcome to join for any or all meetings. We meet at the church on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month from 7 p.m. until midnight. We also enjoy regular 15 hour marathon crops. Meeting times and dates can also be found on the calendar section under "Events and News".
Families with Small Children
This small group of families with children under 5 originated from Good Shepherd's attempt to build smaller communities within our congregation. From there, we have grown into a fun-loving, service oriented group who are always looking for new ideas. Each month, one family is chosen to plan a service activity that can be either Church or Community related. We also manage to correlate the service activity with a fun social event during or after our service activity to give us all a great opportunity to do something for others, get to know each other better, and begin teaching our children the importance of spreading God's love. Although we are not currently looking to add families to our existing small group, we will assist in forming of new, additional spin-off groups of families with small children.
Friends in Christ
The Friends in Christ small group originated in September, 2004. Our first meetings were done at a mutually agreed upon restaurant, thus establishing our all-important enjoyment of food, and of each other, of course. Currently, we share hosting duties at one another's homes. Centering on the purposes of fellowship, study and service. We also focus on service opportunities such as taking meals fellow congregants who are undergoing medical treatment.
Grief Support Group
While grief is universal, it is also extremely personal. This small group meets at 7PM on the first and third Monday of every month in the Fireside Room at Good Shepherd. We try to provide friendship, care and support for anyone who has sustained the loss of a loved one - a spouse, sibling, parent, child, relative or friend. Although we are not professionals, we try to be there for you as you journey through your grief and as you sort through your feelings, take steps toward healing and begin to build a new life. We welcome anyone who is working through a grief issue.
Living Stones
The Living Stones Small Group has enjoyed 10 years of meeting. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday nights of a month at 7:30 p.m. We enjoy a gathering time of eating and talking, followed by rousing topical discussions, followed still by more eating, talking and fellowship. Children are always welcome.
Memorial Garden
The Memorial Garden was set up by WMT and is maintained by us. We ask for volunteers to assist in the maintenance of the garden.

Pre-K Play Group
Five moms and five babies formed this group in 2001 to spend quality time with other Christian moms while our kids learned sharing, playing and socializing with other small children. Although people have come and gone, we currently share play time with a various umber of moms and children. Our group meets at one another's homes Tuesday mornings at 9:00. Our philosophy is that any mom who needs contact with other Christian moms is welcome to join. Our children are all 5 years old and under.
Tie 'N' Talk
This small group meets in room 147 at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the 1stWednesday of each month September through May.
We make and donate quilts to various local charities. Started in 1997, we have on-sight and off-sight help from both members and non-members in cutting fabric, design, piecing, sewing, and tying child sized quilts which are given to Lutheran Family and Children's Services or other charities. Enjoying the fellowship is a large part of this fun group.
We are always looking for donations of cotton or poly/cotton, flannel, corduroy, and old sheets that are not threadbare. With any donated fleece, we are able to make blankets for children receiving radiation treatments. Donations of fabric can be taken to room 147 and left by the Tie 'N' Talk cupboard.
