Building Blocks Arrival & Dismissal Information

Arrival
Arrival at school may not be more than five minutes before your child's session begins. It is the responsibility of the parents to escort the children into the building all year long. See below to find out more about our specific Building Blocks programs.

Toddler 1

  • We offer a drop-off program at 8:45 AM outside the classroom gate, easier departure for both parents and children.
  • A staff member will greet and escort children down the hallway into their classroom.

Early Preschool (2-3 years of age)

  • We offer a drop-off program at 8:45 AM outside the classroom gate, easier departure for both parents and children.
  • A staff member will greet and escort children down the hallway into their classroom.

Preschool 1 (3-4 years of age)

  • We offer a drop-off program at 8:45 AM at the Discovery Room.
  • Music time then begins promptly at 9:00 AM, so please be sure to arrive no later than 8:55 for this activity.

Preschool 2 (4-5 /Pre Kindergarten)

  • We offer a drop-off program at 8:45 AM at our classroom door where free play promptly begins every morning at that time.
  • Please plan to arrive on time for this fun, new time for discovering and creating.


 

Dismissal
Please be prompt in picking up pick up children at their classrooms at 11:45 AM. In an emergency, be sure to notify the school concerning any early or delayed pick up of your child.

A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged when a child is not picked up on time.

Also, be sure to notify the teacher in writing if anyone other than the usual parent/driver will be picking up your child - including when your child is going home with another classmate. No child may leave with an unauthorized driver!

Lunch Bunch

An optional Lunch Bunch program is offered Mondays through Fridays from 11:45-1:15 for an additional fee. A healthy lunch and beverage for each child should be brought from home.

All children need to be picked up by 1:15 by an authorized adult. As mentioned above, a note is required for a child to go home with anyone other than the usual parent/driver.
