The kingdom of heaven is not just a someday reality, but something God is cultivating here and now—in us, among us, and through us. With the help of the Spirit, we are invited to pay attention to the weeds within: the thoughts, habits, fears, and motivations that pull us or others away from life. But this is not a message of shame. It is a message of grace. God does not give up on us because weeds are present. God walks with us, helps us tend what needs healing, and nurtures the wheat within so that our lives can reflect more fully the goodness, love, and life God intends.
